  1. Sarah

    i really love my restyle corset. its the first i’ve ever bought and i was honestly blown away with its quality. Customer service was lovely and eager to help when i had a problem.

    My only issue is that they don’t ship to my home country despite it being a member of the EU as well so I had to use a courier service.

    I purchased the CU4 in the green brocade and was actually impressed by how well it fits me for an off the rack corset. I get a nice parallel gap down the back!

    A few fit notes I think might be helpful for others:
    • This is more of a semi-cupped rib style as though there is some cupping in the side, so get get the lovely shape, there isn’t much in the front couple of panels. Worth noting if you have prominent ribs like me – it’s wearable but could do with some more space in the front for me to be “perfect”.

    • In comparison to the Wide Hip (also by Restyle) this corset has the hip volume more evenly spread throughout the panels. This is better suited to my shape as although my high hip (2″ below waist) is 10″ larger than my waist (meaning I need corsets with a 12-14″ high hipspring), much of this is due to my lordosis rather than having very wide hips. With the Wide Hip there was excess volume in the side panels yet I was unable to close the corset better over the hips as it didn’t have enough space in the back panels. Not so with this style!
    So if length is not an issue for you, consider where your hip volume is situated if you are deciding between the two.

    • The busk is somewhat flexible, but as I have a short torso and a mostly flat stomach, I don’t find that to be an issue. It might be worth pairing with some control knickers underneath if you do have a bit of a larger lower tummy and a regular/longer torso if you are worried about getting a smooth line.

    What else? I think this is a really great corset for the very low price point. The fabric is lovely and I think it should hold up well. Doesn’t feel like it’s prone to snagging like some brocades, but I’m being careful with it anyway. Stitching quality seems good too, no skipped stitches or anything. I adore the shape it gives. I think it’s an ideal starter corset for those who are naturally curvy like me before heading to the world of custom fit! I still can’t quite believe that I paid under £40 for it! Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is I’m not keen on the laces – I prefer cotton flat laces, and there are a few pattern changes I would prefer for my own figure needs, but this isn’t a custom piece! I am a harsh critic though so 4 out of 5 is incredible for an OTR corset.

    For reference, these are my natural measurements and I bought a size 22″.
    Bust = 38″
    Underbust = 30″
    Waist = 26″
    High hip (2″ down) = 36″
    Full hip (5″ down) = 38″

    I find this corset to be in great relationship to it’s price. Sure, it’s not perfect, but for 40USD restyle offers very curvy corsets that could be a great starter! I did not contact Restyle prior purchase, so I can’t tell about their customer service. However, about their website, I have observed that they don’t restock their corsets very often, so if you see the one you like in your size that’s quite stadard you might want to hurry. Other than that, their shipping from Poland was quite fast. Regarding the corset iself, I purschased the CU2 in Mesh. It’s indeed a very curvy design, with slightly cupped ribs that make it extremely comfortable to tighten without numbness. It also is quite short, allowing for lots of movility (in fact, since the busk is also quite flexible, I wear this one on my slightly more active days). This, however, may cause a bit of tummy spillage because of lack of coverage, so if you are worried about that issue this might not be the corset for you. Also, since it’s low in the back aswell, some muffin top is unavoidable, even when loosely tied at the top. Noting this, I’m still very happy with the dramatic silhouette it provides! Mine has hold up quite well to wear, but I did not use it daily either. Seems like a sturdy corset that if alternated with another one and treated with the usual care might last a good time!

    To sum up, this Polish exchange rates are a bargain and if you have a low budget, fit the measurements and don’t mind some spillage, this might be a great starter, or an affordanble alternative for a mesh or short corset.
